Your Guides to Inner Stillness

Hello, I’m Tomomi.

I believe that modern travel has become too fast. We rush from one famous landmark to another to take a photo, but we rarely give ourselves the time to truly feel the place we are in.

I founded Omairi Retreat after my own experiences of needing space to slow down. In the quiet sanctuary of a local shrine, the simple act of washing my hands, bowing, and listening to the wind in the trees helped me reconnect with myself.

My Approach as a Guide

My goal is not to be a walking encyclopedia of Japanese history. My role is to be a bridge. I help you navigate the cultural and linguistic barriers so that you can interact with Japan’s sacred spaces confidently and respectfully.

In my tours, silence is just as important as speaking. I will explain the meaning behind the rituals, but I will also give you space to close your eyes, breathe, and experience the stillness for yourself.

“I want you to leave Japan not just with beautiful photos, but with a lighter heart and a calmer mind.”
